BACTERIAL CLEANSING
Standout bacteria reduction.
In the study's single-rinse comparison, TRI-OLOGY® showed the greatest overall reduction in measured bacterial DNA among the rinses evaluated.
TRI-OLOGY® SCIENCE & RESEARCH
TRI-OLOGY® developed from early formulation research into professional dental evaluations, university-based antimicrobial screening, analytical chemistry, and published comparative testing. The materials below explain what each investigation actually measured, what it found, and where further clinical research is still needed.
2015 PUBLISHED COMPARATIVE RESEARCH
Published comparative research examined two essential sides of oral care: reducing measured oral bacteria and studying how living gingival cells respond to cleansing formulations.
BACTERIAL CLEANSING
In the study's single-rinse comparison, TRI-OLOGY® showed the greatest overall reduction in measured bacterial DNA among the rinses evaluated.
ORAL-CELL VIABILITY
In the reported laboratory comparison, TRI-OLOGY® was the only tested rinse to retain measurable gingival fibroblast viability under the study conditions.

A DIFFERENT FORMULATION PHILOSOPHY
Your mouth is a living environment—not an inert surface. TRI-OLOGY® combines purposeful oral-care chemistry with xylitol and carefully selected plant-derived ingredients in an alcohol-free formula designed with the biology of the mouth in mind.
Purposeful oral-care chemistry for micro-foaming cleansing and cosmetic whitening as part of the complete Restoring Rinse® formula.
A well-established oral-care ingredient derived from hardwood and incorporated intentionally into the daily formula.
Plant-derived ingredients selected as part of TRI-OLOGY®’s broader whole-mouth formulation philosophy.
Plant-derived oils support freshness, sensory experience and mouthfeel. Contains sweet almond oil.
Always review the current product label for the complete ingredient list, directions and warnings.
A SCIENCE STORY BUILT OVER TIME
From an oral-health research idea in 2001 to decades of formulation work, dental evaluations, published research and patents, TRI-OLOGY® has continued to evolve. These are selected milestones from company records and published sources.
Janice King and Dale Winetroub begin investigating the relationship between oral health, cleansing methods and the body's responses to oral irritation.
Historical training materials describe five screening rounds of 12 candidate formulations while developing the combination concept.
Company records report TRI-OLOGY® use and practitioner evaluations in dental settings beginning in March 2011.
University dental-lab testing documented bacterial-growth inhibition with TRI-OLOGY® Professional Strength Oral Serum.
MRIGlobal documents chemical constituents detected in a sample of historical Debriding Oral Rinse using GC-MS and LC-MS techniques.

THE TRI-OLOGY® SCIENCE
The mouth contains complex microbial communities. TRI-OLOGY® approaches cleansing within that larger oral environment.
Purposeful ingredients such as 4% carbamide peroxide deliver micro-foaming cleansing and cosmetic whitening as part of the complete formula.
Daily oral-care products come in direct contact with living oral tissues. TRI-OLOGY® believes tissue response deserves consideration alongside cleansing performance.

OUR FLUORIDE-FREE PLEDGE
Fluoride exposure comes from more than one place: drinking water, food and beverages, toothpaste, and some mouthwashes. For most people, knowing their exact daily total isn't simple.
That's why TRI-OLOGY® makes a deliberate choice: we do not add fluoride to our Rinse and Serum formulations.
Understand everyday fluoride sourcesFluoride remains an established option for cavity prevention. Our formulation pledge is a consumer-choice commitment, not a recommendation to stop professionally advised fluoride care. Ask your dental professional which approach fits your needs.
NEW INDEPENDENT U.S. RESEARCH
A 2026 study involving 2,514 children found that higher estimated prenatal fluoride exposure from public drinking water was associated with lower fluid-cognition scores—skills related to attention, memory and flexible thinking.
The findings add important U.S. evidence to ongoing research on fluoride exposure and the developing brain.
Key finding: Higher estimated prenatal exposure was associated with lower fluid-cognition scores.

FROM SCIENCE TO YOUR DAILY ROUTINE
Restoring Rinse® brings effective cleansing, fresh breath, brighter-looking teeth, plant-derived ingredients and alcohol-free comfort together in one daily rinse—built around a more complete view of the oral environment.
